XLr8AP: Global Technology Accelerator

In support of the initiative of The State of Andhra Pradesh to create a world-class technology innovation ecosystem, the IC2 Institute of The University of Texas at Austin, in concert with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), has established XLr8 Andhra Pradesh, a world-class global technology accelerator, located in the world-renowned temple town of Tirupati & Visakhapatnam


The primary objective of the accelerator is to foster a culture of innovation in the Sunrise State of Andhra Pradesh. Our primary goal is to increase knowledge, wealth and employment, in the State and beyond.


Xlr8AP is multi-faceted initiative that includes training, advanced capacity-building for innovators and entrepreneurs, incubation and acceleration of tech companies into the global marketplace, mobilization of venture capital and access to the extensive global commercial development networks of both FICCI and the IC2 Institute of the University of Texas at Austin, as well as direct exposure to the entrepreneurial culture of Austin, Texas, through co-location in Austin for select qualifying companies who are looking to take their technology to the global marketplace.


Xlr8AP trained 132 startups in its first phase thereby creating over 1,000 new jobs and paid internships, aiding next-generation entrepreneurs to learn high-impact entrepreneurship 'from the inside' and solving real societal and business challenges through innovation. 

Over USD 3.4 million in incremental revenue and more than 200 commercial deals in various stages of development are in the works as a result of the initiative.

XLR8AP – Phase 2

After the Successful Completion of Phase I in Tirupati, Phase II shall see another 4 Cohorts of the Programme. For every Cohort, 33 Startups shall be shortlisted, out of which 25 Startups shall be eligible for attending the Cohort which runs for four months. Out of these 25 Startups, based on their performance with the Cohort, 8 Startups shall be considered for Advanced Acceleration under which they will be provided with Domestic and International Business Development Support, Infrastructural Support, B2B Support, Facilitation for Participating in Conferences and Indirect Funding Support through Investor Meets..
