Moreover, sectors like infrastructure and construction present immense potential as African nations focus on closing critical gaps to support economic growth.
Among the top-performing economies, South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, and Ghana stand out, offering robust markets and a conducive business environment. Emerging nations such as Ethiopia, Mozambique, Tanzania, and Rwanda are also gaining traction due to reforms promoting foreign direct investment and strategic projects under frameworks like the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). These markets present significant growth avenues, particularly for Indian SMEs and large corporations exploring new frontiers. India is one of the biggest investors in Africa, with investments over the past 20 years amounting to $75 billion. India’s bilateral trade with African countries has been growing steadily over the years, with India's total goods trade with Africa increasing from USD 68.54 billion in 2011 to USD 90.52 billion in 2023.
