Odisha State Council has formed 5 Sectoral Council such as Electricity, Mining, Tourism, MSME and Manufacturing sector.
- Situated in the eastern part of India along Bay of Bengal and surrounded by West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. Bhubaneswar is the state capital;
- 4 crore population spread over an area of 1.55 lakh sq. Km with 30% of people living below poverty line at a literacy level of 73.45%;
- Primarily agrarian with 60% of population dependent on agriculture and allied activities for livelihood;
- The state economy is on a high growth trajectory clocking an average annual growth of about 8.5%;
- Endowed with abundant natural resources having the largest forest cover;
- Rated as one of the best states in India for doing business by World Bank and remained at the top of league tables for its success in attracting investments into the state;
- Pioneering state for reforming power sector and state owned enterprise sector;
- Ruled by a regional political party (Biju Janata Dal) for the last 16 years;
